We have a voluntary neighborhood association operating through Douglas-Edgemere-Neighbors Corporation (incorporated in 1982).  We focus on social events, beautification and crime prevention, which are organized by the board of directors, officers, block captains, and other volunteers.  Our annual membership drive collects voluntary dues for membership to the association, whose proceeds pay for social events and beautification projects.  We have also written and received multiple grants for Douglas Park beautification and plan more in the near future.  If you'd like to help, please let us know!

    Festi-Fall

    FestiFall is our long-running autumn celebration at Douglas Park, held each late October. This free event features a pet parade, pumpkin and rock painting, a bouncy house, face painting, live music, and grilled food. It’s a great chance to meet neighbors, learn about the Douglas-Edgemere board, and enjoy the start of fall.

    Flag Day

    On June 14, we gather to celebrate Flag Day and honor the adoption of the American flag. Neighbors decorate the park with flags and enjoy a relaxed ice cream social, offering a simple way to connect and recognize the spirit of unity and community pride.

    The First Saturday Walk

    Our First Saturday Walks meet monthly at 10 AM at NW 45th and Lee. Neighbors take a casual walk through the neighborhood—dogs, strollers, kids, and grandkids all welcome. It’s an easy, friendly way to stay active and build community.

    Spring Fling

    Spring Fling takes place in early spring and brings neighbors together to freshen up Douglas Park. Volunteers help trim shrubs, plant flowers, and clean up beds around the gazebo and playground, supporting ongoing improvements in partnership with the OKC Parks Department.
